New Year, New Goals, New Plans | 2019 Resolutions

2018 brought with it an interesting set of goals for me. I figured I would give resolutions a go seriously for the first time. I can’t really say what sparked it, but I not only set new goals, I achieved them. With that in mind I’m taking on 2019 with just as much energy and spirit as I did 2018. Instead of a few straightforward goals like last year, I decided to break them up into sections. So without further ado I give you my New Years Resolutions.


  • Earn straight A’s

  • Do work gradually not all at once

  • Find an internship


  • Go to a convention

  • Speak at an event

  • Plan a backpacking trip for 2020


  • Do Yoga Daily

  • Lose XX pounds

  • Workout 3x per week


  • Wake up by 8 AM daily

  • Eat Vegan/Vegetarian

  • Cook once a day at least


  • Watch 100 films

  • Read 50 books


  • Get something published

  • Find a side hustle

How strange to see so many things gathered together. There are only six more goals than there were last year, but I find them very important to where I am right now. Some are repeat goals, others are new ideas. Whatever is to come, whatever I actually manage to meet or not, I merely wish to grow and become a better version of the self I am today. That is all.
