Fall Media Wrap Up (September & October)

We’ve made it to the last 2 months of the year! With holidays and cold weather around the corner, I expect to have a lot more free time to read coming up. So hopefully, I can fit in those last few books I need before January 1st. Time will tell. For now, let’s look back on the things that I have managed to fit in for the months of September and October.

  1. To All the Boys I Loved Before (2018) Susan Johnson

  2. The Kissing Booth (2018) Vince Marcello

  3. The Predator (2018) Shane Black

  4. White Boy Rick (2018) Yann Demange

  5. Crazy Rich Asains (2018) Jon M. Chu

  6. The House With A Clock In Its Walls (2018) Eli Roth

  7. Venom (2018)

  8. Beetlejuice (1988) Tim Burton

  9. Bad Times at the El Royale (2018) Drew Goddard

  10. Shock Treatment (1981) Jim Sharman

  11. The Hate U Give (2018) George Tilman Jr.

With that, I’ve been able to complete zero books in the last two months. School having started back up has taken over a lot of my free time between course work, teaching, and theater. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy what I’m doing but I just haven’t been able to get around to reading for pleasure and while I’m reading a lot for school I haven’t completed a full book or story at all - just a lot of articles.

Over all, I’ve gotten to about 61 movies and 14 books this year which is well behind my goals on both fronts. I’m not upset about being behind on my goals though because I’ve accomplished the main goal of digesting more media in my life. Last year (2017) I was able to watch 64 films. If I’m able to surpass that goal I’ll be happy. If I even read one more book within the next two months, I’ll find it a success as well.

Here’s to the start of the holiday season, I hope you’re all doing well with your media challenges as well! Let me know below how you’re doing so far now that we’re nearing the end of the year.
